This is new variety of geranium specifically a "Martha Washington Geranium" – botanically Pelargonium Domesticum and also known as a “Regal Geranium.” They have large azalea-like flowers with dramatic colors and patterns - some are so dark as to appear black. I spotted it last week at the garden center. I've had no luck growing this type of geranium as I believe our Midwest summers are too hot for it. This one was so beautiful and unlike any other I've seen - my F2 post for this week.

Love that deep dark red...that and the serrated edges of those green leaves gives it a Christmassy feel...beautiful flower and shot.

Never saw this species here (up till now) Kathy. They are very special and very suitable to brighten up this F².

I love that deep red. I would love to have these in my landscaping...I just might get some. I hope one of the nurseries has some. But if you have trouble growing them, I might as well forget it! Another beautiful fx2 shot, Kathy.
