Yes, I must have been manic when I took this - I'm usually moving away quickly when stinging insects are around - I'm a big wuss when it comes to them as I have been stung several times with very bad reactions to the sting. But I always admire all the intrepid Caedes photographers who get those great shots. I saw the bee hovering and instead of turning the other direction I walked right up and said to my hubby: "I'm getting this shot". And I did!

---said to my hubby I'm getting this shot. And I did!---

After reading your narrative I realize that 'some' courage from your side was required. Allergic people can become very bad reactions when they are stung. Stings of wasps are the worse. I'm glad that you took this decision because we can enjoy your wonderful posting now.

Thanks for the shown courage and the done effort.

Regards, Cornelius,

Brilliant colour Kathy and it was very brave of you to face the bee knowing your allergic reaction to a sting.

Good for you, Kathy...your maniacal behavior resulted in a bold and beautiful shot of these flowers and a good one of the busy bee.

I normally have no problems around bees and wasps, but refuse to turn my back on chipmunks, they're slippery little characters. A great close up on the blooms and bee, Kathy. Beautiful colours and details in the photo.
