Every Wednesday from June through October a small street in the downtown section of the village where I live becomes a farmer's market. Neighbors mingle, kids run through with skateboards and dogs also abound. The farmers come from Michigan, Wisconsin and of course Illinois. I think this is a wonderful alternative use for a street and is my entry in the contest.

Looks like a very popular farmer's market Kathy. We are into the cherry season here in Italy....moving into peaches and nectarines! Yummy!

A great photograph of definite people interest Kathy, it's enjoyable observing the adults, & kids at your market. It's unfortunate that in the UK it's frowned upon to photograph kids in public due to paedophilia paranoia.

I can't see a proper pitchfork among any of them, these must be Sunday farmers. If you can find any fresh broccoli keep it to yourself. A nice perspective and composition of the scene, Kathy. Lovely colours in the image.
