(Main) contests->b/w challenge
. . . windy night with the moonlight shimmering on the bay. But the oppressive air suggested storms were quickly approaching. The grasses swayed in the strong winds and dark clouds roiled in the sky. Lightening began to crackle in the distance and thunder softly boomed when suddenly, there was a loud noise followed by a gunshot and a bloodcurdling scream. Lightening and thunder filled the sky when . . . [My thanks to Doug (snapshooter87) for teaching me some new tricks in Smart Photo Editor - this is the result of my playing around with what I learned.] This is for the B&W challenge this week.

That was a nice start of a suspenseful story. You are a good student and your image has a very dramatic effect Kathy. I can almost hear the thunder and the lightning is blinding me! Very well done!

I always thought it was a dark and stormy night.
Good manipulation of the scene, Kathy. I think I'll stay indoors where it's relatively safe, depending on your relatives that is. A great dramatic scene and presentation.
