Smile, without a reason why. Love, as if you were a child, Smile, no matter what they tell you Don't listen to a word they say Cause life is beautiful that way. (From the film "Life Is Beautiful")
Viewed full screen.. colours and blooms jump out at you.
If I may be bold.. although, I can appreciate the artistic intention.. border/frame.
Lose the one colour. Or, simply put and in other words.. keep it simple.
Near approaching an element of visual weight that.. kind of, sort of.. creates a distraction on the note of balance. (<-- Some coffee or tea time reading, if interested.)
Compositionally.. good good stuff.
And reiterating.. vibrant colours within frame make this one very eye catching. Brought me in for a closer look.. mission accomplished.
And..
But, of course.. thanks for sharing this one with us. :o)
Les said: mission accomplished, so there is not much left for me to add. :) This image indeed has such vast load of sunshine that it has made my view from the window look brighter - and it is semi-black with clouds promising rain gggrrr Not only the view from the window but my mood seems cheerful now. Yellow! Well, mostly yellow... Striking when viewed in full size (as all images should be, it's rude not to!), but somehow subtle with it. Basically, a lovely and well balanced photo which looks good as a desktop picture - that's what this site is all about at the end of the day :) On the subject of borders. I reckon, that if you view a photo at 'full screen', then the bezel of your monitor becomes the border, thus making bespoke borders a little bit redundant. Just my viewpoint obviously.
Well if I discount the rain, clouds and general overcast conditions I can concur that it is most likely a sunny day here today. A great capture of these beautiful blooms, Kathy. Lovely colours composition of the photo.
