I usually don't post shots right out of the camera but this is one. These peonies were so pristine and beautiful the day last week that I saw them. I'm off very early tomorrow for a doctor's appointment in the city so I thought I'd post tonight.

Kathy, in my garden several peony species are blooming now, but not this species. With its remarkable and wonderful color it's qualified by me as a very special one!

Beautiful Flower! we have many here planted on the property. was my Moms favorite. the white ones that my wife has planted, i don't remember that gorgeous colored center, then again, its probably there and i just never noticed.
looks like the camera got this one right, color, clarity, exposure. it is rare when this happens and we dont have to do some correction to a pic. Bravo! on a great shot. i do hope all goes well at the doctors.

That center is to die for. Wish it filled the frame even more. The white petals have a crepe paper texture to them.
