A boldly colored hibiscus for this morning. I'm off on a jaunt to a country smokehouse about 70 miles from Chicago and then to lunch at a French crepe bistrot. Will be commenting later.
i love the shadow in the center! im a sucker when it comes to shadows...some people just dont like them in the shot, im just the opposite. i feel it adds too it, especially in a flower like this.
A very special hibiscus in its full glory Kathy. Her beauty is overwhelming. It's a pity that these flowers don't last that long. Wonderful shot. Perfectly captured, my friend.

I'll talk about the photo later, Kathy. Right now, as your family doctor, I'm afraid you had better cut back on your caloric intake. Your itinerary is taking a flower photo, heading north to a smokehouse, then to a crepe bistro only to return to sit at your computer and comment on photographs. Beginning tomorrow you must start walking for at least a half hour at the local park and eat only raw celery.
As for the flower photo, it's perfect except that you lopped off the top of the upper petal. How you manage to shoot reds and yellows in full sunlight in beyond me. I might be your family doctor, but you really know your way around your camera.
