Some nice light to barely catch this just opening gerbera daisy. Having terrible problems with Caedes yesterday and today - everything takes so long to do and for a long time today I couldn't even log on.

As an f.y.i., Kathy.. you are not alone.

There was a brief period this morning when things seemingly returned to 'normal'.. but, we are back in turtle mode for whatever reason (I am unsure at this point).

Carrying on and back to your image here..

Definitely caught my eye in and amongst the New Images and brought me in for a closer look.

Nicely composed and the colour of the flower is striking. Particularly set against that deep green background.

Handled the technical side of things well (lighting, exposure, et al), too.

That said..

+fav for me.

And..

Thanks for sharing this one with us.

Good focus, good contrast between light and dark areas. Good lines to draw eye to the center.

Lovely post, and I'm a big fan of shadows. It was real slow at first, but right now still a bit slow but not as bad. tigs=^..^=

Fantastic color which has been enhanced by the lighting and shadow Kazhy.

---Having terrible problems with Caedes yesterday and today - everything takes so long to do and for a long time today I couldn't even log on.---

On the other side of the big pond, we had similar problems too.
Les however had started a thread in the Discussion board/Feature Bloat/Bug Squash that could be read in a somewhat delayed way, so that I was aware of the problems. In Les' above comment he confirms it again.
It appears that the problems have been resolved now, so that we can resume our 'usual' Caedes-activities.

Thanks for another 'eye-catcher', Kathy. Just splendid, my friend. Thanks!!!!

Color, lighting, contrasts, best part is the angle and composition for me. Super work.
