Also known as bitterroot - it was originally found by Merriweather Lewis on the expedition of 1806 with Clark. It is native to the pacific northwest of North America and generally found on north facing cliffs. It is now hybridized and works great in rock gardens. The entire plant is edible and was used by indigenous tribes for its medicinal value. My foofy for this Friday.

Kathy, for that reason I haven't seen these flowers here. So a very special Foofy Friday (F²) contribution!
I've read in your narrative that the entire plant is edible too.
Before I would do so, I had to think it over twice. It has too fine flowers to consume it, 😁 !
