This is a porcelain delft blue ornament that I saw and loved. I've always been partial to delft blue in dinnerware and the heart shaped ornament spoke to me. I was going to buy it but as it was porcelain and quite large the price was also quite hefty - over $100!

Kathy, since you say "I was going to buy it..." I'm not sure you actually bought it. The price may be quite high, but if I compare it to the authentic Delft Blue porcelain made in the Dutch town of Delft that is made many years ago, it's a bargain. However, because the ornament has other colors besides the typical Delft Blue, I assume that it's not an authentic Delft Blue ornament. To check this, one has to view the bottom of this ornament: original Delft Blue pottery has a unique hallmark on the bottom. Whether or not it's original Delft Blue, it's in any case a beautiful ornament that commands admiration and I understand why it's your favorite. Great photograph too!
