I had no idea that a ranuncula was even a flower. My next door neighbor just told me that it's a cross between a raccoon and a tarantula. What you have taken a photo of is a cauliflower that has been chopped in half. Admittedly it a beautiful cauliflower with your signature silky pedals.
Kathy, I like to repeat what I've said often before: "Beauty is never boring." Your wonderful capture of the speckled Ranuncula proofs what I've just said!
If you think you can't accept something, try to change it. But if this doesn't work, don't be frustrated, but give it later another try. The one who perseveres wins!

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
Truly wonderful to view this, I must add, you are a wonder in giving us much to appreciate, and my goodness, you also have the gift of remembering the appropriate names for these beautiful captures. Very impressed.
