I've seen a few yellow posts lately so I decided to join the crowd. This is one from my files taken about 6 years ago with one of my Nikons - it had rained earlier in the morning.
Kathy, are you sure they are raindrops? To me they could be pearls to give this golden Dahlia a royal appearance. (😁) . A proof to me that such beautiful photographs aren't bound by time.
If you think you can't accept something, try to change it. But if this doesn't work, don't be frustrated, but give it later another try. The one who perseveres wins!

If you have beauties like this one from six years ago, tucked away in some seldom seen file, it makes me wonder what other treasures may be there, too!
There's your signature silky flower petal done in the famous Kathyesque style that I'm trying to steal. They want constructive criticism so here goes. My preference is to have a bit of foliage rather than having the bloom filling up the entire screen. There I said it.
