This is a newer type of dicentra (bleeding heart) - it is the result of cross breeding an American type and a Japanese type. This is an upright bushy plant not a tall shrub like the bleeding heart most of us know and the flowers grow in umbrelles or clusters. I really liked it when I saw it yesterday in a trial garden where I frequently take shots.

Kathy, I really like the form and symmetry of growth on this bleeding heart - Very interesting, indeed, and thanks for posting as I have never seen this particular plant before!!!!!!!!

Dainty and gorgeous plant. I haven't seen one quite like it. Looks like it would be a lovely bush type.
