Also known as masterwort - this is a perennial found in Europe and has been in Britain since the 1500's. It's actually in the same family as celery and is widely used in cottage gardens. The intricacy of the flower has always interested me. This is my foofy for the first Friday of September.

The colors and the focus is perfect. The picture moves with a 3d depth thanks to your two lead flowers.

Kathy, in my country the Astrantia Major is known as Zeeuwse Knoop (Zeeland brooch/knot) (only available in the Dutch language) because of the similarity of the flower. It has had this nickname since 1915. Previously, the Astrantia was referred to by the nickname Sterrekruid (Starwort).
Perfectly taken capture. So being a very valuable contribution for Foofy Friday (F²).

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
