This was something new I've seen this year - real poinsettias sprinkled with glitter. I haven't decided if I approve as I find poinsettias beautiful as they are. This is my foofy for this Friday.

Kathy, the little voice in my head, is telling me to enjoy all things as you see them. These poinsettias are very pretty, glitter and all. But, then I feel like that grumpy old man warning the neighbors' kids to stay off my poinsettias. ;)

Kathy, I initially thought that a grower would have been able to grow poinsettias with natural glitter, but when I saw in your photograph that the buds also had glitter on them, I realized that they were applied by hand. I admire everything that is natural, but decorating plants in this way is overdone for me because poinsettia's on their own are able to exude a proper Christmas mood.
It doesn't alter the fact that you have once again provided us with a beautiful, and this time exceptional, Foofy Friday (F²) contribution.

I like it ! So very Christmassy. I still associate snow with Christmas despite ours being in midsummer :) We have a poinsettia at my work that has been in the staff toom for about 10 years. I have never known one to live that long, and in a very small pot. It must be just the right temperature for it to thrive.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
