Also known as Lenten Rose. This is a little late but did not see any during Lent. I like the way the sun shining through the flower brought out different colors. Since these tend to have a dropped head I had to get down on one knee to get the shot the way I wanted it. My foofy for this Friday.

Kathy, it's like the Hellebore is performing a match with the sunshine. If so, to me the flower is the winner because of the exceptional lighting.
Not only a very good Foofy Friday (F²) contribution but a perfect OTKT (On The Knee Taken) image too (😁) !

I love the lighting you caught on this one Kathy. They are rather difficult to shoot because they droop. With my bad knees it would be rough to get down for a good shot like this. tigs=^..^=

I empathise - they are always a get down on your knees effort. You captured this one beautifully Kathy. We call then winter roses down ghere.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
