I usually post more than one poinsettia during the holiday season - so this year for first one I chose an old favorite. This is called Jingle Bells and has become enormously popular thru the years.

Kathy, to me the poinsettia's are the floral harbingers of the Christmas season. In fact, the above line is incorrect, because the flowers of this plant play a subordinate role. It is the festively colored leaves that do it. Your beautiful photograph is an excellent example of that.

Its a poinsettia time of the year, and I am sure the years are getting shorter. However, I never fail to be delighted by these plants and this is a lovely one :)
