Very nice detail, and I like how you can see the whole of the formation, without bits cut at the top and/or bottom. The colours you have chosen are very nice,and the darkening in the middly gives a sence of tunneling into an unknown vortex. The spikes gently siralking outwards also add to this feeling of motion. Good work!!

I like the inner part of this better than the outer as the outer is a little less focused. A little tweak in photoshop would have been an interesting experiment. An eye catching piece. Well done , Cheers Al.
