This was shot from a moving boat while we were returning from a fishing trip. We were throwing old bait over the side as several birds followed the boat back in. Unfortunately , the boat rocked, when it should have rolled, (or I rocked when I should have rolled) and I missed framing him the way I wanted ..... He is a little low..... Here it is anyway......

I thnik the low pelican and vast expanse of blue sky add a lot of positive things to this image. The colours as Genver said, are brilliant and it not "just another bird shot" because of the position. High marks in VB

Pelicans are amazing and fascinating birds! A thrill to see one up close, they are huge!

Beautiful colours on this bird. Once again we do not get these colours on our Pelicans. After your man-o-war, I am now convinced I must see Georgia, if only to see the beautiful colours! Great capture. I also like that the Pelican is not fully captured, it really makes for an interesting angle and has allowed more sky in. Thanks for sharing.
