Is this a pet Ryan, or a wild un ?
Years ago I kept reptile newts called "Axolotles" not only did they breed in their newt state, but they also have the ability to regrow amputated limbs !! Thanx 4 sharing.

Life's around said Phil the 35 millimetre cameraman. I recently went to the doctors, and said I've got icon fever, but he told me there was no cure for the disease.

Love the DOF in this - was the lighting natural? Great shot.

Ryan, I am curious what makes this a juvenile.
After metamorphasis frogs, toads, newts and
salamanders are pretty much ready to go. Unlike
a bird which may have to go through several molts
or a mammal which may have coat changes or must
reach a certain size. I studied salamanders in
college on the west coast, but I am not familar
we east coast species. Is it a color thing or size?
