Yup, you're right about that..I love the soft colours. HEre we have a lot of Salt Water Taffy..and this sure does look like it.
I do feel that somehow the colours ought to be brighter, they look a bit muted to me...yup, do what Les said, it sounds good...verena

I don't know how to do these but I do know what I like and I like this. It is on my desktop now and will probably be there for quite a while. It's lovely...

Not sure if you have access to an image editing program or software ... however, as a suggestion ... Photofiltre.
Freeware and widely used on the site ... think that your abstract here, could benefit from some contrast adjustments to bring out and/or add to the depth perceived.
Make the colours 'pop' some more as well. The lighting, if you will ... appears to be a little 'flat' across the board. Just some thoughts, that's all.
And but of course ... thanks for sharing with us.
p.s. Excuse my bluntness in the above ... happened to have seen this in amongst the new images and wanted to leave you my impressions, which ... may rest only with me.
