It is kind of dark, but I would say it works well here. I like the swirly lines ~ super great job.

Its dark, but it seems like there's a light shining down on the scene. Very active fractal Doug! Sometimes if you add some gamma you can brighten it up. Or play with the contrast. But if this was what you were striving for, you got it! Excellent!
