Let me bore you for a minute about the editing done here. This is a handheld shot at bout 30yds with a Sigma 500mm lens and my Nikon D300. Ive cropped the shot to my liking and then did almost an Orton effect in CS3. Then ran it through Topaz Details to sharpen up what I wanted. In turn this gave all the nice bokeh in the background way too much grain. So back to Cs3 with the blurring tool I went through all the background by hand to soften it for an appealing look to the eye. I hope you enjoy and PLEASE VIEW FULL SCREEN to appreciate

Your work paid off Doug. That was a good way to do the background. I will have to keep that in mind for future reference.

Your editing has made this look good. Nice green bokeh for the bird.

Your hard work paid off so well. The bird can be seen clearly, with good details. The orton effect and your extra work turned out perfectly. tigs=^..^=

You did the depth of this very well!...The eye centres on the bird, of which the details are great!..
