It was a good day to be at Haystack Rock, at Cannon Beach, Or. Everything was nice and quiet and not too many people, just a lovely day. Haystack Rock is one of the largest monoliths in the world, and gets thousands of visitors and is one of the most photographed scenes in the world also.

It's an amazing rock, and if i get the chance to travel to America i would love to see it up close - it gives the beach a really distinct character.

By the way just as a random fact i think the largest monolith in the world is somewhere in Western Australia.. i wish i could remember its name though..

great shot.

I'm very far behind in my comments due to some recent family issues so please forgive this generic comment. I have viewed this image and found it to be very good. I didn't want to pass it by with out mentioning it's beauty. Thank you for sharing it with us. You have created a very beautiful image and I envy your talent. I hope to view more of your work and give a more personal comment in the near future. Your images are awsome. Take me with you next time you go!
