Simplicity in Black and White

I took a photo of an Oak leaf and one small acorn, changed it to b&w and added a "crumpled paper" as the background to it, then added a thin frame. I wanted to simplicity.I've been kind of challenging myself to do something a bit different, and the simple is what I'm after. I hope you'll enjoy it, and thanx for taking a look.

Very good work. I like the silhouettes and the background too.

And the Lord spake, saying, "First shalt thou take out the Holy Pin. Then shalt thou count to three, no more, no less. Three shall be the number thou shalt count, and the number of the counting shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, neither count thou two, excepting that thou then proceed to three. Five is right out. Once the number three, being the third number, be reached, then lobbest thou thy Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch towards thy foe, who, being naughty in my sight, shall snuff it."

This is really beautiful Verena. Simple but very elegant. If you look closely you can see the drops of water on the oak leaf.
Great work!

Success! Love the simplicity of this, Verena, and the texture adds a nice quality! As if shadows of the single leaf/acorn are cast onto rice paper :)

I like the white crumpled paper in the backround...it gives a great texture to this 'simple' b&w. Love it!
