This is part of the Columbia Gorge River area. Looking into Washington from the Oregon side. I loved the clouds behind those hills. I had forgotten I had some of the Gorge photos, so here is one for you to enjoy. This is the route that the pioneers traveled with Lewis and Clark. It's so beautiful now, but I imagine it was pretty hard work for those people.

This is a beautiful scene X. I too like the clouds coming over the hills like a wagon train. They are going to enjoy the view.
Good post.

Great image! This is part of what I love about the gorge area. Driving from east to west along the river, you see high mountain desert then end up with incredibly lush greenery. I would love you see more Columbia river/gorge pictures!

An amazing scene, Verena. I love that sky, but it only accompanies a beautiful lake and mountain. Very nice.

It is known that there is an infinite number of worlds, simply because there is an infinite amount of space for them to be in. However, not every one of them is inhabited. Therefore, there must be a finite number of inhabited worlds. Any finite number divided by infinity is as near to nothing as makes no odds, so the average population of all the planets in the universe can be said to be zero. From this it follows that the population of the universe is also zero, and that any people you may meet from time to time are merely the product of a deranged imagination.

I especially like the clouds coming over the mountains too, Verena! I find it odd that there are not more trees growing on the mountain. Beautiful colours throughout, and a fantastic composition!
