My daughter lives in a sweet little cottage next to a pretty mansion, and the mansion has a Koi pond ! I went for a visit and just enjoyed watching these fish so much! They are like pets! The come, look at people, and literally beg for food, mouths wide open to receive sunflower seeds and other yummies! Guess they are expensive fishies, but oh the beauty and fun of watching them is probably worth it. Well, at least to those that have the money! Please enjoy this 'unique to me photo' today.

Koi carp are illegal in every Australian state except NSW and WA.
The fear is they will be released into waterways and create havoc as the European carp have done.

Very nice photo the fish are very lovely. I got couple of them in my backyard which it inspired me to draw some of them. I sold all the arts so I couldn't post in here. Thanks for sharing.

I had an ornamental pond years ago, and I put about eight or ten Koi in it. They are a very colorful fish, and always active. Thanks for sharing this nice picture of the ones you were watching. It brings back memories. I like the way you included the rock on the ege of the pond, and the bubbles are a nice touch.

Looks like they are trying to push each other out of the way to be in the center of your shot .. :) My neighbor has one of these ponds in his back yard with several Koi in it, its a beautiful site.
