Working with the pen tool a bit more to familiarize myself with it and this s what I came up with. A beautiful Calla Lily on display.

Aww, thanks everyone :) This one tested my patience for sure but I'm quite happy with the way it came out. My original design for the top didn't work out which is the one thing that disappoints me about this but some day I hope to be able to do the design I had in mind.

Very nicely done. The image is rather disturbing, I think, so you've expressed the concept well, I believe.
The only thing that really stands out for me is that the jewel holding the flower doesn't appear to have any support at the back. That makes it look a little odd to my eyes. Otherwise, this is lovely work. A tad formal for my tastes, but I really like the ideas and the creative expression and the rest is a matter of personal taste.

Well, I'm not sure what all the fuss is about. I love it. I think you did a wonderful job on this and it certainly isn't something you're going to run into every day. Keep working on it if you will, but don't destroy the work that you've done here...it's exquisite.
