WHAT IS MAN WITHOUT THE BEASTS? If all the beasts were gone, man would die from a great loneliness of the spirit. For whatever happens to the beasts, soon happens to man. All things are connected. ~Chief Seattle VISIT MY GALLERY
Oh, Hilda..this is so precious. I love the feeling that you get when a baby wraps their little fingers around even one of your own. You have such a treasure there, and I know that you'll give all the love you have. It shows in your pictures, and in all that you do, my friend..give the newborn a soft kiss from me.
Always so moving to see a little hand closing on a big adult's finger. From the colors and little wrinles, I had guessed that this was a newborn...Congratulation on such a marvellous happening, and thank you for sharing this. :)
this picture is so emotional! it reminds me of when my daughter was born and seeing those little fingers wrap around my finger- now she's 17 months old and she's not so little anymore :o) You've posted a wonderful heartfelt capture that I'm sure you will cherish close to your heart forever- thank you so much for sharing, and congratulations on the new little bundle of joy!
You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being.

Is perfect and so tiny. You are beginning a wonderful series with this although again i would love to see a black and white version. It would be lovely to compare the two!!
He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the almighty. I will say of the Lord, "He is my refuge and my fortress, my God in whom i trust". Psalm 91: 1 and 2
What a fantastic capture... it really is full of emotion.. its such an amazing feeling when you touch your baby for the first time... very very beautiful... thankyou for sharing...
The softest touch that I have ever known....
from the smallest hand, God sent to me to call my own.
You stole my heart from our first embrace...
and the touch of your hand upon mine, can never be replaced...
Kat, What a beautiful poem! I'm going to be sure and share that with my daughter and tell her about all of her friends here on Caedes. Thank you to everyone - I'm so thrilled you like this picture. Hilda

There is nothing that will replace the human touch, is there Hilda? Even a newborn baby knows the power there is in touching. you have captured that moment perfectly. This image evokes a lot of memories as well as emotions for me. Remember that there is no softer place for a grandchild to fall than in a grandmother's love. Congratulations on the littlest angel and thank you for sharing this moment with us ;=)
THIS is the type of image that I love. I remember when my twins were born...
This is absolutely gorgeous. And thanks for taking me on a trip down memory lane.
Congratulations to your daughter, Hilda. Can you imagine this tiny little hand shall be as big as ours in another couple of years. What a contrast for now! This capture definitely has some deeper thought... and some great personal meaning for you. Thank you for sharing this special moment with us.
srry for the cheesiness but...AWWW!!! that almost brought tears to my eyes thats such a simple but beautiful picture, sorry i'm getting all gushy but it really is a lovely picture!
"The truth is, of course, that the curtness of the Ten Commandments is an evidence, not of the gloom and narrowness of a religion, but, on the contrary, of its liberality and humanity. It is shorter to state the things forbidden than the things permitted: precisely because most things are permitted, and only a few things are forbidden."
