New server and related news...

In light of the server down time today (caused by excessive server load) I've decided to bite the bullet and purchase a new server. It is a Pentium 4 2GHz. machine and it will be dedicated to serving up caedes.net pages. I'll be soon moving the site over (after the operating system software is configured properly) and then after the site has been running smoothly for a week or so I'll upgrade the caedes.net software.

Cool! I am looking forward to the site upgrade. Think of trying out the dev site for a day or two first on the new machine before running the main site on it?

Well the datacenter gave me a totally different server from what I ordered... I'm trying to resolve it now.

What is exactly meant by "Caedes.net software" ? Caedes.net's CGI Script Engine ?

It's a custom perl application written just for caedes.net. It can run under CGI, but I use mod_perl for speed.
