Hi, Andru...Thanks for your comments on Deep Within the Thicket. Yes, Apophysis is a program ....it can be downloaded at no cost from the net. You can download it from the follow link: http://www.apophysis.org/
Nice to meet you!
Wen
Got your thanks for the link to the Apophysis download. A couple of things about Apophysis....it takes time to get a feel for it. Don't give up. Just keep moving the little dots around in the Editor after you find an Apophysis formula in the list that you want to play with. I think there are tutorial on that site as well. Good luck!

"I wrote your name on a piece of paper but by accident I threw it away...
I wrote your name on my hand but it washed away...
I wrote your name in the
sand but the waves whisked it away....
I wrote your name in my heart and forever it will stay........."
Hi Andru, thanks for your comment on "Angelice" it's much appreciated. Keep playing with apophysis you'll find you can manipulate it to make some good fractal in time. cheers Al.
The beer urges me on, the bewitching beer, which sets even a wise man to singing and to laughing gently and rouses him up to dance and brings forth words which were better unspoken.

Hey, don't worry about it looking like the placeholder. the placeholder isn't there as an image. It comes and goes when it is needed. I acctually think it is a good thing there is an image like it now. Then if someone likes it and wants to use it as a desktop, they can use yours instead because it is alot better without the words across it:P. And you are right. It is different, just the same style.
"A piece of toast with butter always lands butter side down, and a cat always lands on its feet. What happens if a piece of toast is tied butter side down to the back of a cat? Does it perpetually hover above the ground in indecision when dropped?"
Ty for the nice comment on "The Land Before Time". I just used many different shades of green to layer the landscape little by little to create the effect of actual trees and such. Just takes a bit of messing around with terragen. Thanks again :)
Also, thanks for looking at my "Representation" series. Most people look at an image instead of the three. I appreciate you telling me what you like about it. Thanks for the c-index boost. :-)
Hi, Andru...thanks for your comments on "Reaching for the Sky." I felt exactly as you do about Apophysis when I first started working with it. Then, as I worked the Editor more, I started to feel like I had more control and was able to develop a couple of nice images. It does take lots of patience and sometimes I simply walk away from the program frustrated because I was getting nowhere with it. I only fool around on particular flames for so long until I switch to a different flame. Either it seems like I'm getting somewhere within ten or so minutes or I move on to something else. Everyone has their "pet" programs. But don't give up on Adophysis too quickly. Thanks again.

Hey I was just wondering...
You have similar names, same age, very similar e-mail adresses, and comment on each others works. Are you and andrew11230 the same person?
Just curious...
Hi, Andru...You asked how I got my Adophysis images to look "smooth." I take all my Adophysis images through photoshop...usually sharpening exposure and adjusting shadowing and lighting. Thanks for your nice comments on my work!

Thanks for stopping by Imprisoned for Eternity (Collaboration)! I don't want to keep pushing Wendy to do stuff for me, don't really want to bother her because I don't have photoshop, but tomorrow I'm uploading Pleasant Nightmares with the same effect thanks to Wendy, so I hope you like it!
Nice to meet you!
