But words are things, and a small drop of ink, falling, like dew, upon a thought produces that which makes thousands, perhaps millions think and smile. Art is everywhere, except it has to pass through a creative mind.

thank you for your kind comments on "Hall of the Giants". I'm pleased you like it.

You see, wire telegraph is a kind of a very, very long cat. You pull his tail in New York and his head is meowing in Los Angeles. Do you understand this? And radio operates exactly the same way: you send signals here, they receive them there. The only difference is that there is no cat.

Please forgive the long delay in answering your comments about my, Solitude Reworked image. This is my busy season and I am rarely home long enough to answer all of the wonderful (and not so wonderful) comments left by everyone. I want to thank you for your kind words and visit to my Solitude and hope that your stay brought you a calmness that I felt as I photographed it.

Annie and I invite you to visit our website. Photography is not a trade - it is an art. It is more that an art. It is a solar phenomenon, where the artist collaborates with the sun. deLamartine 1855

Thanks for your comments on "Rusted Rake". Pleased you liked it. I'm sorry for the bands at the top and the bottom, but I shoot mostly 35mm and that doesn't do an exact do an exact 1600x1200 conversion. As I do most of my cropping in camera I want to give the image at full size to give the viewer the same visual experience that of the original: hence, the boarders.

We shall not cease from exploration, and the end of all our exploring will be to arrive where we started and know the place for the first time.
