I travel to Portland quite often (my mother-in-law lives there). I also live near the Columbia River, and I love to watch her many different mood. Thanks for your comments on "Columbia River Vista". They are appreciated.
Thank you for your comments on "Soft Green of Spring". Now is about the time of year the peas start showing their colors. By the end of next month should be a good time to photograph. If you decide to go over let me know and I'll at least make out a map for you.
The aim of every artist is to arrest motion, which is life, by artificial means and hold it fixed so that a hundred years later, when a stranger looks at it, it moves again since it is life. Since man is mortal, the only immortality possible for him is to leave something behind him that is immortal since it will always move. This is the artist’s way of scribbling “Kilroy was here” on the wall of the final and irrevocable oblivion through which he must someday pass.

Good morning
My thanks for your comment on "Rolling hill under cloud". I have only recently moved to tropical north Queensland, and after the sterility of the city find myself with my breath taken away by the beauty of the area.
Enjoy your day

Thanks for the comments on "Camp Mooch". I'm pleased you like it. As you live in the Portland area, it's quite a drive to the Wallowas'ut it is definetly worth the trip.

People are like stained-glass windows.
They sparkle and shine when the sun is out,
but when the darkness sets in,
their true beauty is revealed only if there is a light from within.

Glad you liked "Sunset at Drottningholm Palace, David. Sweden was great! I was lucky to catch it between seasons - and before the tourists - a unique experience. M
