Thanks for your comment on "violin" I love that hot five o'clock light, angled like a flash fill. When you get down to it It's really the only thing in my gallery that I can say I really nailed. It's an honor to have your comment, thank you
Hi Michael. What a terrific comment you left me on "Camelia Up Close!" A great way to start my day. I would love to see that ice formation. I am enjoying your photography and hope you will keep uploading. ;)
Thanks for the comment on Ammonite Falls. It did get its name from a deposit of Ammonites of which I have found in the area after much searching. Once you find one they suddenly start appearing in abundance;-)
I have not had as much time as usual for browsing this site lately but just had a chance to look through your gallery. I really enjoyed all of your wonderful photos and your expertise is an inspiration to me as I am just starting out in photography. I hope to see many more of your pictures in the future.
Thank you Michael for the kind words on Pasque-flower, and for satisfying my curiousity about you scanning your photos or shooting digitally. I thought it was scanned because the grain is much finer and not as pixilated in the areas that is out of focus. I shoot only digitally since i find it too expensive with film. But I like the grains of real film much better than the pixilation that is it's digital counterpart.
thanks Michael for your comments on my image "keep an eye on your heart" i appreciate the time and effort that you have taken to comment
thanks again

Thanks Michael, your nice comments are much appreatched, and i do love nature early in the morning when every thing is fresh and clean. Thanks for looking. Dwight.

Michael, to inspire someone with an image that is what is all about right. I am so glad you found A Warmhearted Feeling one of those. Thank you. Dwight.

Thanks Michael, for the great comment, the great vote, and for adding it into yor favorites for the picture: ' The King ' Really appreciate all your support!.
Thanks again.
thanks for your comments about my desert pictures. i agree that not enough people shoot in the desert; it's absolutely beautiful in my opinion. but i've moved to pittsburgh, so my desert days will be rare now.
Thanks for your great comment (and vote and faves!) on "Woodland carpet", Michael, and paticularly for going to the trouble of logging back in :-) It's appreciated.
your photo blown me away. the're incredible! you seem to have traveled a lot. you remind me a little of Yann Arthus Bertrand, the photographer who took photos from the sky's point of view. he has an an amazing portfolio and one titled ' Earth from above' reminds me a little of your shots...
thanks for sharing your portfolio with us Michael, I hope you won't stop anytime soon^^
Tks as well for your comments on A Dedication To Everyone In Caedes. The pic was Neez's and so was the poem. All I did was create with the combination. I am glad it was enjoyed by all.
Tks as well for your comments on Who Goes There. I even got to get a short video clip of him playing and pouncing. It was a special moment.

Your collection is incredible. I can honestly say I like all the work you've posted so far. I was just wondering about the black bordering though. Do you use a digital camera, or scans from an actual photograph?
Thanks a bunch for your comments on "Buttermilk"! Yeah, who knew that New York had good waterfalls? I found out on my vacation last week that the Finger Lakes region has tons of them!
:D You really got water lily past me. I ran over it with my mouse and I saw your name...and I thought, "no way...I missed it!" Love your work ++++++++++++++++
Michael - yes, most of the shots were taken in South Africa and most of those in or near Cape Town itself. The others were taken in Zimbabwe (where I'm originally from)
You're right, there are a lot of good photo opportunities down here - I am only just starting to find them!
Hi Michael! I do live in Utah, yes. But I visit Washington pretty often. Thanks for all your nice comments! I should be getting my photos up soon. (I'm kinda slow...)

Thank you Michael for the more then kind remarks.
Thanks for taking the time to comment on Montana Twilight, Michael. Very much appreciated and I'm glad you enjoyed the image. I only wish I could take actual photographs instead of having to rely on computer programs such as Terragen. :)
What a sight that must have been...ones that dreams are made of the way you describe it Mike. I hope to see the images;-) Thank you for the great story and comment you left for me on "Fairyslipper".
Hi, thanks for the comment on Sail away - actually, the pic was taken from the edge of a cliff.. I've got another pic of the area somwhere, and I was thinking about posting it..

Thank you immensely for your thoughtful comment on "Nothing Gold can Stay". I actually didn't catch the play on words... perhaps it's just too late, I'll try it again in the morning. I knew what to fill the negative space with as soon as I turned the leaf gold on a whim -- the poem was in my mind at an instant, and I'm glad you liked it. Thanks again.
Thanks for your great comment and high score on "Lucky", Michael. There really was no setting up or waiting involved - I was out walking with the dogs and saw a bee land on these flowers, so I fired off three quick shots as another trial of using flash on macros. He took off as I pressed the button for this one, so I stopped. When I got home and looked through the results I was amazed by how this had come out :-)

Hi Michael! Thanks so much for your kind words. I must confess, I didn't know there was anything particulary special about my comments, but I'm truly glad that you appreciate them!
Thank you again teach...I mean Mike hehe. This orchid is widespread from Bella Coola, BC down to California. I usually see them in mixed coniferous forest in rather dry heavy shaded areas in June.
