Rob: Thanks for taking the time to comment on "Back Off." I agree that there are some focus and exposure problems here. Not one of my best efforts, but I liked the little guy's "attitude" enough to overlook the technical problems :)

Hey Rob, thanks for commenting on Time To Reflect. The sky wasn't effected by my saturation adjustements, it was just overexposed when I shot it. I didn't know anything about photography or using my camera when I took it hahaha - but I can always get better.

Rob: Thanks for viewing my Revised Garden II photo. After seeing it on another monitor, I believe it is a bit overexposed, but still a nice pic. The frames aren't absolutely necessary, but I'm trying to learn how to use Photofiltre and Ifranview, so I add them.

Your night shots have inspired me to give Schloss Solitude another go with a new tripod. They should be uploaded in a few days. I hope you'll take a look at them.

Regards,
Chris

Thanks for commenting on my picture of Blackfriars Bridge - at last someone who's seen the real thing! That's what I meant in my introduction to it - you hardly notice it when you see it in real life because it's very drab compared to some of the other bridges over the Thames! I was very surprised (and pleased) with the way it turned out! Thanks for the encouragement.

Hi Rob, thanks for the great comments on 'Watership Down'. EXIF data is:

f/16 1/3s ISO 100 18mm. The short focal length gave rise to some 'barrelling' on the horizon I think, and as Patti pointed out there were some spots of water on the lens that I could have cloned out. But I was pleased with it - and I had hours of pleasure playing in the waves getting it! You wouldn't believe how many shots I have.

Thanks again for the comments.

Hi Rob, thanks for commenting on one of my Rome photos and yes I was trying to find something different to photograph! Glad you like the perspective looking through the two bridges. Devoid of all the stones, graffiti etc. the shot would have been fairly dull - glad you appreciate what I was trying to capture!

Thanks for the comment on 'London Sky' Rob. It's always exciting to find a new viewpoint and I'm really pleased with this one - I had to look quite hard to find steps down to the river near Tower Bridge, but I managed it! You're right I've done it once before, in front of the Tate Modern. I did remove that picture when I cleared out my gallery at the start of the year, but I'll doubtless re-visit that viewpoint. I'd be interested to know more about the halos you're seeing as there's nothing visible on my monitor and I always wonder how the post work I do shows up on other screens.

Many thanks, Rob. The knoll in "He had a Dream" is almost the highest piece of land on the old river bottom ranch. I felt that artist meant for him to be surveying the progress on his dream so I moved to points that included some structure in the development. Hurricanes in the Gulf always gives us some clouds to sparkle up our usual solid blue skies. You can thank "Donna" for the sky. We will probably get a thunderstorm or two in the next day or so.

Thanks for the comment on 'Belle Tout' Rob. I'm glad you liked it. The dark foreground is one of the things that I'm not so happy about in that shot. I did various crops but, for me, the foreground needs to stay in for the composition as I liked the long sweep of the curving coast. But there is too much dark for sure. Next time I go there that's one of the problems I want to try to solve. Thanks for leaving me your thoughts.
