What can I do? Above Luxor Temple, Egypt Uploaded: 03/19/11 7:25 PM GMT

Image: What can I do? Above Luxor Temple, Egypt

As I wondered around Luxor Temple just a week ago, there was sense of desperation on the part of the Egyptian people. They want freedom, they need tourists and above all they need money. They can't win though, if they hassle the tourists, they loose their freedom, the tourists stay away and they don't spend. I looked up above the temple walls which have have been cleared of sand revealing the ancient Temple. Above it stands a Mosque. This man looked down on the tourists, "What can I do?"

Thanks for the comments on UWantIt?#3 . I was going for an exaggerated feel to the angle but it probably would look better at something like a 30 degree angle rather than the 45 it's at now. Thanks for expressing your doubt, feel free to tell it like it is. I love constructive criticism. It helps me see the things I may have missed. :)

Hi David and thanks for the kind words on "Gregory the 13th's 10th." Our Gregorian calendar was named after Pope Gregory XIII. The 10th refers to the tenth month on that calendar, October. And, David, that is when this picture was taken. lol. ~~ John

Thanks David, for taking the time to look at BreakTime. It was a very casual shot. I had no access to the room at all. I took the shot through a window. That said, your thought about the light being on the chair is on the money I think. That is just the kind of input I am looking for on this one. If I could have recognized that when I was there I could have waited for the light to move. It probably would have hit the chair just right 15minutes later.
Thanks

You quacked me up. lol. Thanks for the complements. A tighter crop would look good! I don't usually do frames. I usually don't care for them on others work so I tend not to do them. The "mistake?" here would be trying to post in desktop size rather than letting the art dictate the size and shape. Thanks for the complements and suggestions. Always appreciated!
