Mythmaker: Hi Jen, congrats on a superb shot, I'm pretty sure the first few places in this comp were a "by a gnat's whisker" kind of thing. Interesting that your shot and my shot are both subjects of sand/stone shaped by water. Some kind of visual magic in how water interacts with minerals.

Patterns of the Sea in the Nautilus by verenabloo

sharonva: Can't beat the original colors! I find the shortened spiral (center left) to be fascinating. The spirals clearly form from the interior, and so one wonders what caused that rib to be that way.
