Well, it’s the last Sunday before Advent so time to make your Christmas Puddings for all of you that have forgotten to plan on making them and/or intended to nip down to the store at the last minute to get a shop bought one instead (shame on you). They are very easy to make and taste much better made fresh so give it a go. Just avoid one of the serving suggestions I saw on the news this morning of slicing them up and pan frying it with sausage, bacon and egg which sounds a foul combination but each to their own I guess.

christmas cake and ANY cheese is great. Wensleydale is a very good choice to got with it. if you are being seasonal you can go for the Wensleydale with cranberries in it.
I am sooo not organized this year... I went out and bought a christmas tree (if you caould call something 45 cm tall a tree) to replace the old one that got waterlogged in the basement on the weekend... have done absolutely nothing else. Every time I think about christmas shopping I shudder.. the longer you leave it the worse the crowds are...

Uh ... I think? Maybe if it would earn me some Christmas cake with Wensleydale cheese, perhaps?
:oP
p.s. Actually ... that sounds right tasty ... and in particular, the addition of cranberries would nicely kick up the tartness/sweetness. Love cranberries. :o)
well have I got news for your Les, just bought some cookies with white chocolate and cranberries in it and they are soooooooo yummie...:D....but a pitty you can't taste them....;D
The 'pressure' of the C-Index..could make that a multi faceted diamond...
Steamed Xmas puds are stunningly scrumptious! .. laced with a few spoons of dark rum...and brandy flavoured custard with some brandy-snaps- for crunchy-ness!...
~Legs it to the cupboard to taste some~...mmnnnnnn!

Ok, you guys convinced me ... I bought a package of premix at the store ... looks like all I have to do is add some water, and an egg or something ... pop it into the microwave for, hmm ... let's see ... right, about 12 and half minutes on high, stopping at the mid-point to do something ... and then ...
Hmmmm ... hmmmmm ... good eating!! Just like mom made!!
To honour the three wise men who travelled from east to west.
Incidentally the day the Christmas pudding was cooked was called stir up Sunday because everyone in the family took a turn stirring the pudding. They would each make a wish as they stirred.

The Christmas Carol is good and brings back memories for me… No I’m not that old, we had to read the book in school.
I like one of the recipes on that site. I think we would find most of the ingredients needed right here on Caedes:
Charitable Christmas Pudding Recipe:
Take some human nature as you find it --
The commonest variety will do;
Put a little graciousness behind it,
Add a lump of charity -- or two.
Squeeze in just a drop of moderation,
Half as much frugality -- or less,
Add some very fine consideration,
Strain off all of poverty's distress.
Pour some milk of human kindness in it,
Put in all the happiness you can,
Stir it up with laughter every minute,
Season it with goodwill toward every man.
Set it on the fire of heart's affection,
Leave it till the jolly bubbles rise,
Sprinkle it with kisses -- for confection,
Sweeten with a look from loving eyes.
Flavor it with children's merry chatter,
Frost it with the snow of winter's dells,
Place it on a holly garnished platter,
And serve it with the song of Christmas bells.
