Rob (Blueboy22) I agree with you on "Hero" thats an awesome song! :D
"Pity? It was pity that stayed Bilbo's hand. Many that live deserve death. Some that die deserve life. Can you give it to them, Frodo? Do not be too eager to deal out death in judgment. Even the very wise cannot see all ends. My heart tells me that Gollum has some part to play yet, for good or ill before this is over. The pity of Bilbo may rule the fate of many."- "I wish the Ring had never come to me.
I wish none of this had happened..." "So do all who live to see such times, but that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us."-Gandalf
Best instrumental would have to be Gato Barberi's version of Europa Earth, Wind and Fire and not Santana's version. I like Seal, Sade, Tim McGraw, Evanescence, Luther Vandross, and some of the oldies. I like all kinds of music and in the classical field, Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata or Strauss's Moart's Minuet from Don Juan. I even like some heavy metal groups. I like Lullabys as well.
Eric Clapton--Wonderful Tonight...well actually just about ANYTHING Clapton. Santana--Jingo (love Santana), we are already aware of my love of SRV, and he has so many that I can't choose one fave song...there is a new age-ish artist (does soundtrack music too) named Jean Michele Jarre (sp?) he has an album called Oxygen which is a musical trip!! I love that entire album!!! Allman Brothers--Midnight Rider & Whipping Post (them white boys got the BLUES!!!), Skynard-- Simple Kind of Man...geez, here I go again, listing my entire playlists!!!
Sympathy for the Devil- Rolling Stones, Toxicity- SOAD, Bohemian Rhapsody- Queen, Saline- Rasputina, Broke Wings- Sage Francis, Closer- Nine inch Nails, aand Bullet with Butterfly Wings- The Smashing Pumpkins.
I have Equinoxe...and its a great album!!! And Tower of Power...talk about funk and jazz and blues all wrapped up, and man can they blow!!!
As for the Stones...Wild Horses...then just about anything by Joan Baez, and I'm hard pressed to find only one Matchbox 20 song to call a fave, because I love them all...Bill Withers and Grover Washington--Just the Two of Us, Earth, Wind and Fire--Loves Holiday (so sexxxy!)...and on the sexxxy side of songs...Barry White, Luther Vandross (he will be missed), Marvin Gaye (Distant Lover-Live, what a song!), Chante Moore--Candlelight and You, Will Downing-- Pleasures of the Night GUYS, you may wanna take notes and set the mood one night for your ladies!
Well then if you if you are gonna download...for that special mood:

BARRY WHITE
JEFFREY OSBORNE
CHANTE MOORE
WILL DOWNING
LUTHER VANDROSS
MARVIN GAYE

That should be a good start...my hubby knows if I fire up any of those musicians, chances are, he will get lucky...and only SOME of the Prince works, like Diamonds and Pearls and Most Beautiful Girl...EW&F is ALL good though for setting the mood as is Will Downing, Barry White, and Luther!!!
Now go get your freak on, and say, Thank You Jenn! :-)

Never lie, steal, cheat, or drink.
But if you must lie,
lie in the arms of the one you love.
If you must steal,
steal away from bad company.
If you must cheat, cheat death.
And if you must drink...
drink in the moments
that take your breath away.

Enya - "Caribbean Blue."
Oh, this one amongst many others of hers, just does it for me, takes me away to somewhere else from the opening chord ... and then, I am so completely and pleasantly lost.
Mike Oldfield; any and all of his discography. Choice cuts would be ... nah, impossible.
Gwen Stefani; really liking the solo stuff.
The English Beat. The Specials.
Ska ... it's good for you, part of a well-balanced diet of sound.
The Ramones. Keeping it under 4 minutes until Poison, gotta luv that.
Sex Pistols. Can't name many other punk bands, lol, here at least. Skinny Puppy, Dead Kennedy's, and our own locally grown, Forgotten Rebels.
Punk ... when you just want to say f**k it.
OMG! Naming off punk bands and you missed 2 of the best and original punk bands...for shame! Ramones kick ass!!! I cried when Joey died. Have you forgotten...the Clash and the Sex Pistols...they paved the way for all these new-gen punkers. Kraftwerk rocks, but again, you missed another great one in Art of Noise.
Just bend over and let me spank you now! @-} If you like ska, then you may give Camper Van Beethoven a listen too, and No Doubt, back in the OLD days kicked ass with a ska influence.
*contemplating starting a collection for some eyewear for Jenn*
Ok, I will give you my miss on the Clash. And thanks for the skinny on Camper Van Beethoven. Oh, I better leave now, whilst I am able, as I am sorely tempted to list my own personal collection and then some.
Ok, one more ... or so ...
A little patriotic pride here in these ones ... Neil Young; After the Goldrush and Harvest Moon, Rush and Stompin' Tom Connors; who purportedly would wear through a plank of wood on stage while performing live ... cause of, you know ... all his stompin'.
Once again, art and information ... and a spanking? ... Caedes, it's a good thing :).

Pity? Pity is a useless emotion. Because usually, the people that deserve it, dont want it. And the people that want it, dont deserve it. So whats the point?
Christopher Cross- "Sailing" If there is anyone who has never been sailing please put this on your "to do" list before you die. There is nothing like the wind in your face , the sails up and the boats' side kissing the water. Such an adrenaline rush!
