I don't know folks... almost any image without snow can be "Spring" and not much of a challenge. "Motorcycles" as a theme is a bit too streamlined. "Motion" or "Dreamscapes" on the other hand, can be artistic and worthy of a challenge; a concept, a digital creation, a scenario that has to be waited for or developed using whatever skills we have... something far beyond "foofys." Just a thought to what we should consider when considering a "contest."

Well, that would be Motion, then. I remember it was introduced before Spring. (But, as I see now, Spring pulled ahead by one at the finish. Perhaps next contest, as I have nothing available to enter for Spring.)

The downside being that challenges aren't always met by great numbers. The current contest had a total of 22 entries. Not exactly a sign of mass enthusiasm.
That's something that has occurred over time. I remember contests here, years ago, that had as many as 6 or 7 pages of submissions (12 to a page). Today we're lucky to get 2 pages.

Well, after seeing not just the entries, but the winners, I can see that the site still has a steep slope to climb. Hopefully, there will be some who venture beyond base camp.
