corngrowth: ---He was pleased to learn a Cardinal Fan had moved into this house. I told him I was pleased as well---

Owd Fella Tick (OFT), I suppose you've invited this flying cardinal (during your small talk with it) for the next baseball match of the human cardinals, probably in 2021.
I'm waiting for his reply whether it wants to be into the current contest. If it will give you the confirmation, I wish you the best of luck with this entry!

5th place
Doorway in Pompeii by Vickid

Ramad: the red colour stands out clearly against the building. This will make a good entry for the contest Vicki.

Lightpainter: Is this the Pompeii buried by Mt. Vesuvius? I didn't realize they had any modern houses there, only the ruins from the past. I visited there once and that is all I remember. Very interesting place though.
