casechaser: Amazing when you think about it while in service, it provided safe passage for ships at sea and now provides service as an educational museum piece.

bfrank: Same here...I didn't know there was such a thing as a floating lighthouse. Instantly I noticed the red ship standing out and then the lighthouse on top...that was amazing. Good capture, Cornelius.

Lightpainter: Is this the Pompeii buried by Mt. Vesuvius? I didn't realize they had any modern houses there, only the ruins from the past. I visited there once and that is all I remember. Very interesting place though.
