Hurrying, waiting and wondering all take place at airport terminals. There are several examples interwoven within the shot. I've had this lady in my files since a trip to Florida in 2005, I must admit she has been patiently waiting for the right time to meet you fine folks. She wants to enter the current contest but I think I might make her wait a little longer before I decide.

Well, TicK...I'm gonna catch heck (notice I didn't say hell) for this, but this shot is seriously flawed in my humble opinion. The small image looks great, and I thought I was going to see one of your best postings ever. At full size I was admittedly disappointed. The subject matter is excellent, but the photo itself or the post photo work just seems to be off. Maybe Kodak made crumby cameras in 2005.
I seem to be seeing a good deal of noise or graininess. There are odd graytones where they don't belong. For example, take a close look at the guy to the left and behind her. His left lapel seems to be glowing in the dark. The same back lighting issue repeats itself throughout the shot. Where the sign says, "Bag Claim" the overhead light is burning through the top of the sign.
If I took this shot, I would be happy enough, and maybe this was "the look" that you were trying for. If that's the case, forget what I said, but typically your shots are nearly without flaws.

The fact she is still wearing her own shoes tells a story of the time this was shot. An interesting capture and b/w presentation of the scene. Nice contrasts in the lighting and shadows. Have to agree with Roger about the noise seen at higher resolutions.

From the look on her face, you must have been fiddling with the settings before you pulled the trigger. I think I just heard a few grumbles coming from her, and one almost distinguishable sentence had something to do with a stupid photographer! Hey...I didn't say it, she did! LOL. Excellent capture, Tick. Great looking black and white shot. If you put this in the contest, I wish you the best of luck!

What an interesting shot this is. I have to say that I like it full screen as well as for me, I like the way she seems to stand out from all the hustle and bustle behind and around her. The expression on her face makes me think she feels a bit unsure of herself in the busy airport. Love it!
