A pair of Chickadee's, whom I call Mae & W.C., built a nest in the old well pump in my yard. I am not sure whether this is Mae, W.C. or a combination of both. I believe Mae does the feeding and W.C. goes in to get a sip. Anyway he flies sideways after a while.

I thought this might cheer up the Owd Timer. He goes by Dunstikin on here and his name is BoB. You can check out his gallery here. He is in the hospital for some tests and you can leave him a message on the Bulletin Board.

Let's hope he gets well soon.

Looks like the old well pump that was in front of my old farm house ... no chickadees ever used it though. A wonderful dedication for a dear friend. Wishing BoB a speedy recovery ... sending thoughts & prayers his way.

I like your presentation of Mae & W.C. ... very artful, Tick.

"I like children, but I couldn't eat a whole one," as WC once said. A charming and sweet series of photographs Tick, but on the whole I'd rather be in Philadelphia.

This is a nice series of shots you got Tick. They found a secure place for the newborns thanks to your kindness.

Very thoughtful as well as creative, Tick. I had one of these pumps not 30 feet from the kitchen door at the old farmhouse I bought and renovated years ago. The Chickadees never inhabited it, though they were fearless little things, and would land on my shoulders and cap when I went out on the deck to fill their feeders every morning.
I see Bob is home, and probably will be on ice cream for awhile. It's obvious he enjoyed this immensely .

His name is SOB to which he must willingly testify.
And them birdies are too fast for me, even caught by your camera.
Please check the pic of our SOB's hanging body and you will know at once why I comment so seldom on your pics.

This is exactly why.
I always remember a thing that I forgot to write earlier.
You, SOT, please refrain from scaring me in the future or my Boris will have your "tonsils" out very soon, him being a great swimmer and missing opportunities to get a good swimming expedition.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

A good collage and captures of the chickadee Tick. What are you doing for water until the chicks leave the nest?
