I can remember when I was a kid, the people flocked to town on Saturday Night to go shopping. Many just window shopped, while some just set in their cars and watched the people walk by. All were friendly and visited among themselves. I can't help but think people were more happy and less stressful back in the day.

I added some subtle textures (my own) to give it a nostalgic look.

Bags of atmosphere here Tick. This is what we'd call a bric-à-brac shop over here and much time can be spent mooching around their shelves.

I see you went to great panes to get the photo.

Excellent work on this image TicK. Good composition and great textures in the shot. It doesn't look like anyone will bang the drum slowly for awhile.

I remember Saturday night shopping so well & with the entire family. Everyone knew each other on a first name basis. Simpler times indeed.

I like the texture you used ... adds some nostalgia & brings out the 3D appearance in the shoppe items. Creative work, Tick.

Wow. That is nothing but superb. I like wandering through stores like that, but have never seen one quite that inviting. The interior is probably loaded with photogenic stuff. Great grunge.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

I'm sure when you were a kid people had time to enjoy the simple things in life however the Korean war had just ended, and the Communist witch hunt was at fever pitch. Then the Soviets denoted their first nuclear bomb. Despite this I'm sure you were happy but was it really a golden era?

Politics, & foreign policy aside I collect pendulum clocks, & wirelesses but can't afford well preserved antiques. The straw hat in the window would look good on you Tic. (o:
