I played in a golf tournament a couple of weeks ago, and these golfers were in my group. They are brothers, but I thought this pose made one look like a teacher. I shot into the sun and it made for a perfect silhouette. Black and white seemed to give it more of the feel that I was after.

On a side note, I won the contest for hitting my ball shot closest to the hole. It was the third hole and I almost got a hole-in-one. It ended up less the four inches from the hole. My prize was a golf hat. I might post a photo of the hole at a later date.

I wish I was a Glow Worm, a Glow Worm's never glum, 'cause how can you be grumpy, when the sun shines out your bum?

Excellent silhouette Tick, I like the way you've captured the glint of sun on the club.

You seem to have had a wonderful tournament unlike The USA in The Ryder Cup - but I won't rub it in!

Forget about posting the hole, I wanna see that new hat! LOL. No, actually I would like to see the hole. I had a hole in one, once, but then I was told that rolling the ball with my hand from ten feet didn't count. Oh well! Great looking silhouette shot, Tick.

I hope you do post that other picture, too. I like this black and white. Golf, for me, is black and white. I am always one of two things, bad, or very bad.

Congrats on winning closest to the pin and the hat, TicK! Who said close doesn't count?

Beautiful silhouette work. The glimmer on the shaft makes a powerful shot, and photo!

Hole in one! I've done it several times...in mini-golf!

I bet the 'hole' photo will be a 'hole' lot bigger than the actual hole!..And the Hat 'hole' will need a bigger 'hole' too!!!!

~Chuckles~!

Well done on your achievement...you worked a good piece of camera work too

Tick, to me, this silhouetted image is, from photographic point of view, a perfect one. It allows to interpret the attitude of the golfers in different ways!'s. Very keen and seen very well!

Hope you'll realize that it's pretty hard for us waiting to see the by you promised picture. Seeing is believing in that way Owd Fella, lol. Congrats with your new cap!

Thanks for this post, I enjoy it very much!

Congratulations Tick -four inches! How the heck do you judge it so fine? That is an apt title for this nice b/W image.I suppose you will enter it in the b/w challenge.

Wonderful silhouette image, Tick. B & W suits it perfectly. I like how you caught the sun flare or sunburst (I think that's what it's called) on the golf club. A big congrat's on your win too. Very well done.

Good shot and I think the b&w enhances the image Tick. I knew you were a golfer but I did not realize you were that good - almost a hole in one - wow! (Seems like you should have received more than a hat.)

Oh boy, now I'd need more then 1 teacher, lol. Fantastic shot and shillouettes. I'm sure you'll make a hole-in-one some day soon

My son has gotten a hole in one and a group of older ladies were with him to make a 4 some and so they tole the paper and he got his name in the paper and we had a beautiful box with velvet lining to place his hole in one in.
