One good thing about your grandson turning 16 and driving, is they will give you a call when a photo op is present. That's what happened when this Eagle decided to perch close to town. The first time I drove to where the Eagle was supposed to be, he had flown away. I got another call later and the Eagle had returned. This time he stayed until I got a few shots. I took some shot, drove a little closer, took some more shots, drove a littler closer, took some more shot and tried to get a little closer and away he flew. This is a close as I have been able to get to one in the wild. You can thank my Grandson. It is hard to believe he is 16.

Some of you probably remember when he first joined this site. For those of you that don't here is his gallery. He has found more interesting ways to spend his times these days. I think girls is one of them. Oh well, someday he will get old like me, and return to the camera and his dreams.

Editors note: I know you thought it was going to be a photo of the Owd Timer (BoB Dunstickin.)

You got a nice and clear shot of Baldy Tick. He/she looks good up there between the twiga and with that sky as background. How time flies! My only granddaughter is 24!

That eagle was a sittin' duck...so to speak. He's in great focus, and from this shot, he doesn't look all that eager to fly off into the wild blue yonder. I'm glad he waited around for you to get a good capture. Well done, Tick.

I have a grandson who does that very thing, I can't always get to the spot in time, but it's fun to know he is watching for me. This is a grand find and nice capture.

While it's not a portrait of the Owd Timer; congrats on getting so close to this regal bird, TicK. I like how his head is framed by the branches and twigs. I could use a lookout like your grandson over here in Italy. Sign him up as a foreign exchange student!

Tick - I'm only one of the two, and I'm not an eagle. This capture has it both - bald and eagle - terrific capture. Thad
