Perhaps you were expecting to see a stunning sunset; instead of a Cowboy and his Horse letting the evening sun dry them out after a swim. If you look on the Cowboy, you can see the water line on his vest from swimming across the body of water. Here is the photo of them during their swim. Evidently the vest was shrink proof because I saw him wearing it a few days later. I tried to locate the horse again, but all I could find was a gray Shetland. I did hear the Cowboy say later, his steed had a cold and was a little hoarse. You don't suppose.........

I didn't know whether to put this in the people or animals gallery, until I remembered someone told me the Cowboy was a real animal. Whatever that means!!

Beautiful horse and great photo Tick. You can tell the horse is still wet. Hopefully the crossing did not make him sick.

I liked the first but I like this even better I think - the "cowboy" has a nice smile and there's something in the editing here that really catches my eye or perhaps it's the lighting. Whichever - "you dun good agin!"

First let me take this opportunity to congratulate you in winning the contest with your image of "The Crossing." Although I did expect to see a sunset, I was not disappointed in the least. This is a spendid capture Tick. I love the low and/or side lighting - it does bring out the details of your subject and that beautiful horse. Well Done!!!

I remember this pair!...seems they are still trying to get out of that pond,,

the only 'horse' I have ever had a gallop on was a sea-side donkey......and that was without a saddle!!

Tick, this is another timeless capture of these, by you so called, 'animals' (the horse and the cowboy, lol).
Can't see (because the lack of long shadows) whether this one was taken at sunset, but I believe you on your words (as usual). The lighting was perfect anyhow. Very well done Owd Fella!
