The flood water were about to reach this restaurant in Quincy, Illinois on June 3, 2019. The water level was 30.46 feet with flood level being 17.0 feet. Today it is finally below flood level at 16.85 feet. The water was up to the edge of the road in front of Chicks and they had sandbagged in case it got higher. There were railroad tracks next to the road and they were underwater. Luckily the chickens stayed dry which is good, because nothing is worse then a wet chicken.

Owd Fella Tick (OFT), when I saw only the title announced in my friends-list, I already knew that you wouldn't provide us with a capture of female beauties. I see that I was right. In my opinion, the subject matter is too serious to fool about it.
Good photojournalism again!
Thanks for the links. The latter one makes watering my mouth, although I just had enjoy a good breakfast, 😜 !

You had the perfect perspective for this shot to get some beautiful sky as well as Chicks - I'm glad the waters are down.

Glad they escaped the flood. Funny though, here in Tampa, there's a restaurant called "Rick's on the river"
