A very cool bud! I'd love to see it blossom! It almost looks like a highly magnified layer of epidermis with all the veins running through it. Thanks for the dedication... you're a sweetie Anita!

Great shot, Anita. The detail is so fine, I wanted to have it at its maximum size -- so I downloaded the 1600x1200 version, then rotated it to the left (so the opening of the bud is facing right), and then cropped it to 1200x900. Now the bud fills my screen, only it's sideways -- and it looks really good that way!

Terrydel and I are of a mind on this posting position. I feel like a pony last out of the gate ! But I had to thank you, Anita for this lovely gift and add too that I also think this is a marvelous macro of a unique flower, and I can't help on the name either. I'm certainly learning a lot of things here on this site, not only about photography, but also how nice things can be when ppl interact with each other the way I see ppl interacting here. I love to hear criticism of my work because it makes me better, but I also like how complimentary and kind everyone is, and that most definitely includes you. Thank you for this, Anita, and keep up the wonderful work :)PJ

The name ChuPat is derived from my nickname Chuck and my wife of 34 years name Patti. Her photography will appear on Caedes as well from time to time. I consider myself an advanced amature not anyway close to being a professional. I have just taken photography more seriously since I have switched to digital. My profession has always been associated with pohtography in one way or another. Any criticism I receive will be well appreciated.
