Found these at the Arboretum and had never seen them before but through they were striking. Right now the grounds are covered with them. While they look beautiful, they are toxic but I'm told they 'won't kill you', just make you very sick. Enjoy and thanks for stopping by, always enjoy your visits. Anita

thats a most amazing colour
certainly looks completely synthetic! although I will take your word that they are _real_ berries of natural colour

a highly striking photo well bound by the frame of same berry colour :)

super job on the compostion. i really like how your DOF is centered at the berries in the foreground, and then fades out of focus toward the background. nice!!

All of the above, and if I repeat them, well, you'll just have to hear it all over again :))))..lol..I usually just defer to my colleagues in comments when I am this far down the list, but I can't pass up a word or two on these most unusual berries..First of all, fess up..you dyed these, right? j/k j/k Your focus on these tiny beauties in the front is flawless and creates that wonderful DOF as it blurs softly out toward the background. The health of the leaves makes this even more appealing because it allows us to concentrate on the sweet reflections on the berries and this most marvelous of colors. The whole of the composition here is striking and for me it is embodied best in that sharp little leaf that is sprouting up from the main subject in the front angling off to the left. It creates a most appealing and definite demarcation between what you want us to examine in minute detail and what you want to set as your canvass. It presents a little bit of an unusual twist on composition and I join in the chorus of "I like what you've done here." :)PJ

What a vibrant colour! I have seen the pictures of them before, but never a live plant! Perhaps as well - I have a habit from childhood to pop a berry or a leaf into my mouth first, and ask questions later, lol - it is a wonder I am still alive!
